Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Unscrew the fine or medium brush tip Water Painter and fill the barrel with water before screwing the tip back in place.
Tip: The Water Painters unscrew in the opposite direction of what you'd expect.
Open the Old Olive Ink Pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze a couple of drops of Old Olive Ink Refill into the lid. Gently squeeze the Water Painter to get some drops of water in the lid. Stir the ink and liquid together with the brush tip. Pick up some watery ink from the lid using the brush tip. Swish the watery ink across the Very Vanilla Thick rectangle until you've covered most of the rectangle leaving some clear areas. Get more watery ink on the brush tip as needed. Swipe the brush tip across some Grid Paper several times to remove the color when done.
Open the Garden Green Ink Pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze a couple of drops of Garden Green Ink Refill into the lid. Gently squeeze the Water Painter to get some drops of water in the lid. Stir the ink and liquid together with the brush tip. Pick up some watery ink from the lid using the brush tip. Swish the watery ink across the Very Vanilla Thick rectangle until you've covered the entire rectangle in green. Let the darker green overlap the lighter green some. Get more watery ink on the brush tip as needed. Swipe the brush tip across some Grid Paper several times to remove the color when done. Set the watercolored rectangle aside to let it dry.
Insert the Crumb Cake rectangle into the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder so the brick pattern runs horizontally across the vertical cardstock. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Old Olive card.
Mount the "have a holly jolly Christmas" sentiment from the Christmas To Remember Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small, plain Very Vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the smaller, three bumped ends label die from the Seasonal Labels Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker to lightly outline the edges of the sentiment label cut out.
Pick out the both the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-7/8" diameter and the one that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-1/8" diameter. Put them on top of the Old Olive square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the smaller die is centered inside the larger die. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the thin outline circle cut out you just made for this project. Keep the small solid Old Olive circle for use on another project or throw it away.
Once the watercolored Very Vanilla Thick rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying using a Heat Tool if needed.
Pick out both leaf dies from the Candy Canes Dies. Put them both on the green watercolored Very Vanilla thick rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine near one edge. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Repeat over and over again until you have cut out as many watercolored leaves as you can from the green watercolored rectangle. It's okay if some don't have complete lobes as you can tuck that part under a more complete leaf if needed.
Working with one leaf cut out at a time, put a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of a leaf and start adhering them to the thin outline Old Olive circle to make a leaf. Let the leaves overlap as you go around the circle. Work on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet so any glue that goes over the edges of the Old Olive circle ring won't stick to your work surface.
Once you have completed the wreath, put some Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the wreath circle and adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and the top of the wreath almost touches the top of the Crumb Cake layer.
Adhere the outlined sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is centered between the bottom of the wreath and the bottom of the card.
Cut a 9" piece of the Garden Green ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is on the lower right or lower left side of the wreath.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 11 jewels from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the wreath as shown.
